Plant City: Food for Veggie Lovers and Beyond

Plant City opened in June 2019. With endless options, this Providence, RI favorite satisfies whatever you are craving. The menu is extensive, but we’ve got the lowdown so you’ll know just what to order when you hit up Plant City!
If you’re in the mood for pizza, Double Zero is the menu to want to order from. One of the best sellers is the buffalo chicken pizza which is made with crispy tofu bites, buffalo sauce, cashew blue cheese dressing, and celery bits. The Margherita pizza is also delicious and is made with cashew mozzarella cheese, which surprisingly tastes a lot like dairy cheese!
Not in the mood for pizza? That’s okay because Plant City also has the Besina menu which includes all of their Mexican food. One of their most popular items on this menu is the nachos. The nachos were absolutely amazing and I would definitely get them again.
Lastly, Plant City has an amazing new burger menu with a variety of burgers, as well as salads, pastas, and fries.
They also have a variety of cocktails (and mocktails!) and so many yummy dessert items. I tried their snickers cheesecake, apple cobbler, churros and chocolate. They were all delicious and I would highly recommend them all.
I had the pleasure of talking to one of the managers at Plant City, Jill Levin, who told me what makes Plant City stand out from the other vegan restaurants in the area. She said that no matter what part of the vegan journey you are on, you are welcome at Plant City. Whether you have been a vegan for five years or you just want to stop to try out a vegan meal, Plant City is the place for you. She also said the people who work there make it really special. I can definitely attest to that. Jill was so accommodating and made my experience at the restaurant a really memorable one. She was incredibly welcoming and extremely kind, as were the other employees. I always have a great experience there and the people, like Jill. that I meet are truly what make it special.
Another thing that makes Plant City stand out is its menu options. There really is something for everyone. They are also dedicated to teaching others about vegan diets. Plant city has a partnership with Plant Docs where they hold classes to educate people about vegan diets. There is also a marketplace located at the restaurant where you can find all kinds of vegan food items.
Plant City is really a great place to go and I’m so glad that it’s located right in Providence! Whether you’re vegan or not, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out. It’s a great place to go with a significant other, your family, or a group of friends. No matter what you’re in the mood for, Plant City has got it, and the staff will make sure that your experience is the best that it can possibly be.
