It was nearly 30 years ago when a friend introduced me to breakfast at that Mystic landmark Kitchen Little. I was hooked.
Owned and operated by Flo Klewin and family, it was little for sure. It could not hold more than 30 or so people inside, but the food was wonderful. And the ambience: Well it was so cozy you would usually end up talking to the people at the next table. And then there was the waterfront view and the patio when summer mornings nudged you to eat outside. Gourmet Magazine thought it was fabulous and did a feature spread. Foodie celeb Rachael Ray made it the subject of one of her shows. Yankee and Connecticut magazines raved.
