Breakfast and Lunch To-Go at Sift Bake Shop
Last week I stopped in at Sift Bake Shop in Mystic where I left with a ham and cheese croissant. Although they will gladly heat it there for immediate eating, I brought mine home and heated it up in the oven. You will not find a better croissant this side of the Atlantic than those at Sift.
I like to think of myself as a bit of a croissant connoisseur – I know a good one when I find one. Trust me when I tell you these are the BEST – they really are. The stuffed croissant was just as good as my favorite plain breakfast versions; flaky and buttery and full of yumminess. Filled with Virginia baked ham and Gruyere cheese it was super filling and could have fed two of us- but I managed to eat it all myself. If you are looking for a quick bite and are in Mystic stop in and check out all of their savory offerings.
And while we’re at it might we recommend their quiches, the almond croissant, the chocolate hazelnut praline, and really any of their macarons. SO delicious – you won’t be disappointed!
